The 216th Flower Show was a spectacular celebration of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s pivotal role in shaping Indian history through his invaluable contributions to the Constitution. Held from August 8 to 19, the event showcased a breathtaking display of 27 lakh flowers, including nine lakh cut varieties, featuring 85 varieties of annual flowers and 27 varieties of temperate flowers.

Visitors were mesmerized by the vibrant colors of chrysanthemums in 12 hues, zinnias, petunias in seven colors each, gerberas in six colors, and marigolds in four colors. A stunning, larger-than-life floral replica of the old Parliament House, accompanied by a 12-ft statue of Dr. Ambedkar, served as a magnificent centerpiece.

The left wing featured a floral depiction of Bhim Janmabhoomi, Ambedkar’s birthplace memorial in Indore, and a floral model of Chaityabhoomi, where he was cremated. Additionally, 80 metal plaques narrated the key milestones in Ambedkar’s life, offering visitors a ‘jeevana darshana’ (life journey).
This grand tribute to one of India’s greatest leaders was a vibrant celebration of nature and history. Relive the highlights and the beauty of this unforgettable event!
